A public sector organisation that helps deliver funding schemes based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team. Starting out as an 6 weeks temporary assignment

Your new role

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payments process. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing purchase orders and supplier invoices

• Handling staff cash expenses and company credit card transactions

• Managing loan and grant payments

• Monitoring the central accounts mailbox and resolving supplier queries

• Uploading payments via NatWest and Autopay systems

• Supporting ad hoc finance tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed

You will have:

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a finance or accounting role

• Familiarity with bank cash management systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and accounting software such as NetSuite

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
