Accounts Payable Administrator
Your new company
You will be joining a well-established and highly respected manufacturing organisation based in Cornwall. The business operates internationally, supplying high-quality products to customers across the UK and Europe. Within the finance function, you will be part of a close-knit team reporting to the Finance Director, working collaboratively across both finance and operational departments.
Your new role
As the Accounts Payable Administrator, you will take ownership of the purchase ledger and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of supplier invoices
- Maintaining and updating the purchase ledger, including liaison with purchasing teams to ensure correct processing
- Ensuring all invoices comply with company procedures, including correct authorisation and fraud‑prevention controls
- Maintaining accurate data within the ERP/accounts system (Epicor)
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers
- Providing support and cover to other finance team members across wider accounting and administrative tasks
- Assisting the Finance Director with ad‑hoc duties and contributing to ongoing improvements across the finance function
- Developing and expanding knowledge of the Epicor ERP system
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, teamwork and continuous learning.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications & Experience
- Educated to A‑level standard or equivalent
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience within Accounts Payable or a broader accounts role is desirable, though motivated individuals looking to grow will also be considered.
- Experience in a commercial or industrial environment would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with accounting software

Progress toward AAT (or interest in pursuing it) would be an advantage but is not essential.
