Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant (Temporary – 6 Months)

Location: Hinton Office (Christchurch) Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience) Contract: Temporary, 6 months with a view to go perm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant with strong experience in Credit Control to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a newly created role, designed to support our estates (residential, agricultural, and commercial) by managing debtor accounts and ensuring effective credit control processes.
As the role develops, you may also be involved in wider finance tasks such as coding receipts and assisting with bank reconciliations. This flexibility will help us assess the long-term need for the position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact and manage debtors across residential, agricultural, and commercial estates.
  • Monitor and chase outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
  • Assist with booking and reconciling bank payments.
  • Support with coding receipts and other ad-hoc finance tasks.
  • Work closely with estate teams to support financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide updates on debtor accounts.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record in credit control.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a varied workload and complex estate structures.
  • Familiarity with QUBE system is an advantage but not necessary and training will be given.
  • Competent in Excel (advanced skills not required).
