You will work for a successful hospitality business operating a portfolio of independently styled social venues across London.
Your new role
This Accounts Assistant job is being offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis (maternity cover). You will work within a finance team of circa 15 people, assuming varied responsibilities including (but not limited to):
- Bank reconciliation – this is the primary responsibility. You'll look after eight bank accounts
- Weekly sales reconciliation
- Accounts Receivable – cash and sales posting
- Investigation and resolution of discrepancies
- Management of staff expenses
- Assisting with wider Accounts Payable/accounts administration and projects, as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Ability to work in the central London office 5 days per week (Mon-Fri) – hybrid working is not offered
- Immediate availability or a short notice period (maximum 2 weeks)
- Recent, relevant experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role with a focus on bank reconciliation and AR
- Hospitality industry experience is advantageous, but by no means essential.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Sage Intact experience is helpful. However, full training will be provided.
- Right to work in the UK – unfortunately, sponsorship cannot be offered for this position
- You'll be commercially focused and highly people-oriented; adaptable, sociable, energetic, and comfortable building relationships in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
