Your new company
Hays are delighted to be partnering with an Investment Management company who are looking to bring on a Graduate Accounts Assistant and offer study support to help progress their career. This is a growing business with plans already in place next year to bring further projects and headcount on-board. They are open to Graduate Qualification – it is not essential to be in Finance, but you must have a real desire to get into Finance.
Your new role
- AP: Maintenance of Purchase Ledger, Payment of Invoices, Managing relationships with suppliers
- AR: Issuing invoices to customers, Maintenance of Sales Ledger, Credit Control in relation to customer payments.
- Cash, Debt & Treasury: Maintenance of Cash Books, Managing Treasury deposits, Processing interest and capital loan repayments
- Company Secreterial: Minute taking, processing company's house documents
- Management Accounting: Incorporation of Purchase Ledgers, Sales Ledgers, Cash Books & Loan Schedules into ETB's, Uploading accounting data, Accruals & Prepayments and other journals
- Ad-hoc duties: Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT and CIS submissions, Liaising with Auditors, other ad-hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed :
- Has strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Can prioritise effectively and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across the business.
- Adapts well to different working styles and environments
- Has to be ambitious and looking to study further equals (ACCA / CIMA)
