Temporary accounts assistant role - near Normanton.
Location: Near Normanton, West Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join a growing finance team based near Normanton. This role will initially focus on Purchase Ledger duties, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger Clerk who is immediately available and looking to join a supportive and fast-paced finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts email inboxes and responding to supplier queries.
- Processing approved purchase invoices onto the finance system.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Assisting with weekly payment runs.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment queries.
- Providing ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or a wider Accounts Assistant role.
- Good Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
