Assistant Accountant. £32k - £35k. Flexible Start / Finish Times

I am thrilled to partner with a well-established employer located in County Antrim to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their esteemed finance team. This prominent organisation is renowned for its excellent company culture, with a strong emphasis on staff development and growth.

Your new role

Working within the established team, the Assistant Accountant will be involved in a range of duties including:

  • Reviewing monthly sales data.

  • Handling accounts payable and procurement responsibilities.

  • Contributing to the preparation of monthly accounts

  • Managing credit control, including the recovery of outstanding payments.

  • Preparing monthly prepayments and accruals.

  • Assisting with the year-end preparation of statutory financial statements.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a busy finance role or a finance qualification with a professional body and relevant experience. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a flexible and helpful mindset. Applicants should possess proficient written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
