PQ Management Accountant based in Manchester with Hybrid Working | £37-45K DOE

Your new company

Our client is an education based organisation in Manchester is looking for a self-starter and driven Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their team.

Your new role

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for;

  • Work with various stakeholders with all financial planning, budget and forecast processes and consolidate results for their areas, meeting with budget holders as appropriate.

  • Prepare and review the monthly management accounts, provide insightful management information and financial analysis and deliver to tight deadlines

  • Assisting in the preparation of the costing and financial aspects of business plans for new and current developments and activities

  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve procedures as necessary to adequately support the business activities

  • Produce monthly and other ad hoc financial reports and ensure that these are distributed to the relevant Budget Holder and that appropriate action is taken where necessary

  • Responsible for ensuring that financial reconciliations are undertaken on a timely basis, as required

  • Oversee preparation and inputting of journals

What you'll need to succeed

You will have:

  • Working towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience

  • Experience of working within finance in a large, complex organisation demonstrating ability to work collaboratively and proactively across organisational boundaries

  • A high level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other financial software

  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • An ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

What you'll get in return
