Junior Account Manager, FMCG, £32,000 + Bonus, Hybrid-Working, Immediate Start!
Our client, an incredibly well-established Food Manufacturer whom distribute to/are stocked in all of the major UK Grocers, are looking to recruit a hungry, driven Junior Account Manager to oversee some of their existing client accounts, in addition to supporting Senior Account Manager(s) with larger relationships. Working on a hybrid basis with the potential to progress as the company continues to grow, this is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate!
Our client have been established for over 30 years and provide healthy food products through a variety of brands. In addition to their huge UK market presence, they also distribute to customers across the globe, and are in a steady rate of growth/development. Due to an internal move, they are now seeking the perfect candidate to oversee a portfolio of key clients, with scope to not only increase existing client spend, but to also develop new client business. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing an existing portfolio of B2B client accounts, acting as the first point of contact for all client queries
- Nurturing each unique client in order to ensure satisfaction, and also increase/diversify spend
- Negotiating trade terms, joint business plans, price increases and any promotional plans
- Pursuing new business opportunities across the UK
- Supporting more Senior Account Managers in managing larger B2B client accounts (Top 4 Supermarkets, etc)
- Monitoring the performance of commercial activities and preparing monthly reports for senior leadership team
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- Experience of working within a client-facing sales capacity (FMCG experience would be incredible, but not essential)
- Strategic, analytical and commercial mindset
- Experience of working to set targets
- Fun, sociable personality
- Full, clean UK driving licence (as/when required to meet with clients in person)
In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client are also offering the following:
