Your new role
Your new job working as an Account Handler in the International Direct and Facultative Property team specialises in complex and bespoke property insurance and reinsurance placements for wholesalers, retailers, insurers and risk managers specifically in the Caribbean region. You will support the Broking Team in the co-ordination of placements, duties to include coordinating the placement of risks, including the production of documentation to assist placement and maintenance throughout the risk life cycle. This includes underwriting submissions, market reform contracts, wordings, and endorsements. Another duty includes client relationship management by developing and maintaining active relationships with clients through email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions and dealing with all queries to a satisfactory level. Further duties include ensuring accounts are serviced efficiently and professionally from inception to completion, working closely with brokers to identify and qualify for opportunities for business development, maintaining evidence of good service and compliance using meticulous checking and organisation. Further responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory requirements including Contract Certainty, LMBS, FCA and international requirements, enabling and encouraging interaction and collaboration within the team and other divisional units, adhering to company policies and procedures and financial reporting requirements including monthly phasing of income.

Your previous experience working as an Account Handler will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have good persuasive and influencing skills, excellent IT and organisational skills and be able to communicate clearly to contribute and interact with the team. You will be client-facing and customer focused with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and can perform effectively to tight deadlines with good personal organisation and time-management skills. You will have attention to detail to plan meticulously and anticipate problems in advance and make contingencies. You will also need to be proactive and always look for ways of delivering a better or more efficient service.
