Your Role
As a Level 2/3 IT Support Engineer, the successful candidate will provide responsive, knowledgeable, and empathetic support across a wide range of technologies. This hybrid role involves both remote and on-site work, supporting SMEs and contributing to infrastructure and cloud projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
- Supporting Windows servers, desktops, and networking equipment
- Managing VPNs and Microsoft 365 environments
- Performing system monitoring, patching, and security checks
- Documenting client environments and resolutions
- Collaborating with internal teams and liaising directly with clients
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a similar MSP support role - Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Infrastructure (AD, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, IIS, RDS)
- Networking (VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls)
- VPNs (client-based and site-to-site IPSec)
- Windows Server (2016–2022), Windows 10–11
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Backup & disaster recovery in physical/virtual environments
- Security tools (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Fortinet, etc.)
- Soft Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving mindset, and client focus - Other:
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel - Desirable:
Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Fortinet, Dell); degree or equivalent experience
