Your new role
I am currently recruiting a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer for my manufacturing client based in Mirfield. As part of the IT team, you will deliver on business objectives & mandates.
Providing excellent service while supporting internal customers and proactively monitor and administer business systems and application solutions.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of the on-premises server and network technologies for multiple sites on the M62 corridor and the cloud services utilised by the business.
Working closely with business leaders and third parties to ensure the infrastructure enhances the business and provides future proof, resiliency and security.
Managing the service desk function ensuring incidents have been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately.
Ensure all service desk tickets adhere to service level agreements.
Deliver excellent customer service to the end user estate, whether face-to-face, via email or telephone on a multitude of issues.
Work with the UK IT Manager and wider support team to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
Investigate and resolve medium to high complexity application functionality related issues, during which aid and advise to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
Produce and maintain technical processes, training documentation and knowledge base articles for business systems related processes.
Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware technologies supported by the team.
Liaise closely with business and 3rd party solution providers and key stakeholders.
Assist with Implementing, configuring, and testing feasible solutions.
Assist in recruiting and training other/new team members when requested.
Deputise for UK IT Manager when needed.

Experience needed
Experience effectively managing both internal business and operational users along with solution providers.
Hands on Infrastructure engineer / 3rd line or system administration experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong exposure to Cisco networking (Switching, routing, Meraki, Umbrella)
Hyper V
Microsoft Office 365 suite (PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint)
Reporting tools i.e. PowerBI, SSRS, Crystal Reports
SQL or other scripting experience
Exposure to 1st or 2nd line support for ERP systems covering modules within i.e., Financials, Procurement, HR, Inventory/Warehouse management. Dynamics 365 or AX an advantage.
Exposure to share point and business intelligence products
Able to understand a variety of complex systems and business processes quickly and be flexible and adaptable, able to work in ambiguous situations.
Organised and methodical with proven experience of working to deadlines.
