Your new company

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive colleague to join the Young People’s Service as a Resilience Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience supporting young people and make a meaningful impact on their lives.

Your new role


You’ll work directly with young people affected by drug and alcohol use, delivering early intervention, harm reduction, and resilience-building support. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to empowering young people to make positive choices and lead safe, healthy lives.

  • Deliver targeted interventions around drug and alcohol awareness.
  • Hold a caseload of young people and provide 1-to-1 support.
  • Plan and run group work programmes.
  • Conduct screening, assessment, and care planning.
  • Provide psychosocial interventions and post-treatment support.
  • Work closely with partner agencies (e.g., youth justice, schools, social care).
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Promote community involvement and advocacy.
  • Empower young people to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Experience working with young people.
  • Understanding of substance misuse and related issues.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks (e.g., Fraser Competence).
  • Ability to work in a person-centred, strengths-based way.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
