Hays Education is delighted to be working with a well‑established 2‑form entry primary school in Coventry that is seeking a committed Year 6 teacher to join their team for the duration of the new academic year. Your new role

You will take full teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class, delivering high‑quality lessons that support pupils’ academic progress, particularly in preparation for end‑of‑Key‑Stage assessments, as well as their personal development. Working closely with the parallel Year 6 teacher and wider Key Stage 2 team, you will plan, assess and create a structured, motivating learning environment where pupils feel confident and supported. The school is seeking a teacher who can bring stability, clear communication and a calm, purposeful approach to the classroom throughout the year.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6 or upper‑KS2
• Strong behaviour management and a warm, encouraging approach
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to deliver consistent, high‑quality teaching
• A commitment to fostering a positive, secure and engaging learning environment
• Flexibility to work within the school’s routines, expectations and values
