Year 6 Teachers in the Burnley area - from £100 per day

Your new company

Hays are recruiting on behalf of OFSTED "good" primary schools in Burnley. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside established senior leadership teams in schools which receive excellent feedback year-on-year. Behaviour in the schools is good, with clearly defined behaviour policies in force and SAT grades are consistently above the national average.

Your new role

These schools are looking for qualified teachers to cover classes across KS2 but predominantly in Year 6 to support with SATS.

This will involve:

Lesson planning and preparation across the national curriculum for year 6.

Daily lesson delivery, ensuring a consistently high standard of teaching is maintained.

Classroom management, including behaviour management.

Identifying areas of weakness within the class and amending your lesson plans accordingly.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in a KS2 setting. The school are seeking a teacher who is confident, concise, and energetic, with a highly personable attitude. You must have a genuine desire to hit the ground running, as this is a crucial stage of a child's development. Experience preparing for SAT examinations is desirable.

Applicants must possess qualified teacher status (QTS) and have the right to work in the UK.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a generous rate of pay (from £100 per day) and expert guidance from a Hays education consultant. In this role, you will receive mentorship from a senior leader of the school, with regular performance reviews and guidance being offered.

Other benefits include free secure parking, holiday pay and access to Hays online learning library, where you can complete CPD free of charge, helping to develop your career.
