Year 5 Teacher Job in Plymouth – September Start
Hays Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Plymouth that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 teacher looking for a part-time teaching role in a welcoming school environment. The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress, and creating a positive learning experience for a Year 5 class.

The Role
As the Year 5 Teacher, you will:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A commitment to raising standards and supporting pupil achievement
  • A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
