The Role
We are seeking a caring and reliable Teaching Assistant to join the Year 4 team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing one-to-one support for a pupil who experiences sporadic seizures. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure her safety during these episodes and assist her in re-engaging with learning when appropriate.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure her safety during these episodes and assist her in re-engaging with learning when appropriate.
Hours & Contract:
- Part-time: 2 days a week – Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Temporary contract: January 2026 until February half-term
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer calm and reassuring support during seizures, following school protocols.
- Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to provide tailored assistance.
- Help the pupil access learning activities and maintain inclusion in the classroom.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship to encourage confidence and independence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Preferably Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a school setting (preferred).
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing.
