Year 4 teacher needed for a long-term vacancy – Easter start

Your new company
Hays Education is working in partnership with a large, well‑established single‑form‑entry primary school in Runcorn to recruit a dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. This is a full‑time teaching role running through to the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of continuing into the next academic year for the right candidate.

Your new role
This welcoming and community focused school is known for its supportive leadership team, positive behaviour culture, and commitment to providing high‑quality learning experiences for all pupils. As a single‑form entry setting, you’ll have full ownership of your class while benefiting from a collaborative staff team and strong SLT support.
You will be responsible for:
  • Leading the Year 4 class and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons
  • Planning, marking, and assessing in line with school policies
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school
This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong classroom practice and confidence in Key Stage 2.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • A proactive, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Commitment to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development

What you’ll get in return
  • Competitive daily rates
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant
  • Access to CPD opportunities
  • Potential for long‑term or permanent placement

If you’re a passionate Year 4 teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school community, we’d love to hear from you.
