Thanks to our strong relationships with local schools, we’re able to match teachers with environments that reflect their ethos, teaching style, and professional aspirations. Whether you're looking for stability or a new opportunity, we’re here to help you take the next step in your teaching journey.

Your new role

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Year 4 class teacher to join a thriving, well-regarded one-form entry primary school in Coventry. This long-term position begins in the spring term and will continue through to the end of the academic year. You will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing learning, supported by a brilliant team and a nurturing leadership structure.

In this role, you will:
  • Create engaging and purposeful lessons that inspire curiosity and deepen core skills in Year 4
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support a thriving learning environment
  • Deliver the school’s curriculum with creativity and adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive classroom culture
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including team meetings and school-wide events
  • Contribute to a warm, community-driven school where every child is celebrated and supported

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
  • Confidence in delivering the full primary curriculum with strong planning and assessment skills
  • A nurturing and adaptable teaching style, with excellent classroom management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to start in January and commit to a full-time role through to the end of the academic year

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive pay based on your experience and scale point
  • Access to high-quality CPD and teaching resources
  • A streamlined system to manage your schedule, leave, and wellbeing
  • Dedicated support from your Hays consultant, who understands your goals and priorities
  • Opportunities to work in schools that align with your values and teaching approach
  • A £250 referral bonus when you recommend another qualified teacher
