Your new company
Hays Education are working with a supportive and well‑established primary school located in the B11 area of Birmingham, who are seeking an experienced Year 3 Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is to start after-half term and will run for at least four weeks, with a strong possibility of continuing further.
The school is situated in a vibrant, diverse part of the city and has been recognised by Ofsted for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to raising standards. The setting is well‑resourced, with a collaborative staff team and a positive learning culture.
Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons that support pupils’ progress. You will be expected to maintain a positive classroom environment, with some planning might be needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong behaviour management and a consistent, calm approach
- Ability to build positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff
- Reliability and commitment to the full duration of the assignment
- Confidence delivering high‑quality teaching within KS2
