Year 2 teaching vacancy - Runcorn

Your new company
A welcoming and well‑established two‑form‑entry primary school in Runcorn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a long‑term basis for the remainder of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive KS1 team with strong parallel‑planning structures already in place.

Your new role
  • Deliver high‑quality Year 2 teaching aligned with the school’s curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with KS1 expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 2 teacher to share planning and resources
  • Support pupils’ academic progress, phonics development, and wellbeing
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior leaders

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum, including phonics
  • Experience teaching in Year 2 or within KS1
  • Confident behaviour management and a warm, consistent approach
  • Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to integrate quickly into school life
