Year 2 Teacher position in Walsall, Starting in January
Do you have a passion for supporting young learners and a strong background in phonics? We’re looking for a skilled Year 2 teacher who can inspire, engage, and help pupils achieve their full potential in a dynamic and supportive school environment. - Take full responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering high-quality teaching with a strong focus on phonics and literacy development.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Benefit from allocated PPA time to support planning and assessment.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated Teaching Assistant who provides targeted support for pupils with additional needs and EHCP plans.
- Maintain regular communication with the TA to ensure effective provision for individual learners.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community.
What you'll need to succeed :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Previous experience teaching Year 2 and delivering phonics-based learning.
- Strong classroom management and ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
