Contract: Fixed-term (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive infant school team. This is a full-class teaching role, covering maternity leave, and will involve all aspects of classroom responsibility.

Your new role

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Plan, prepare, and assess learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

• Mark work and provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress.

• Attend staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

• Communicate effectively with parents, including attending parents’ evenings.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred).

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

• A passion for supporting young learners and fostering a love of learning.
