Are you a passionate and experienced Key Stage 2 teacher looking for a new opportunity to inspire and lead a vibrant Year 5 class? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join one of our partnership schools from January 2026. This job role will run from January through until February half-term as a minimum, so you will need to be able to commit fully to the role. This school has a strong supportive network and is accessible from major roads/motorways and public transport. Due to the needs in the class and the children entering a crucial term of education, the school are looking for an experienced teacher with strong behaviour management.


This role could turn permanent for the right candidate.

Your new role

In this job role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a Year 5 class, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing. There are SEN needs within the class, so this role does require you to have a strong understanding of SEN so you can make the relevant adjustments to suit all the needs in the class.


What you'll need to succeed

  • You must hold QTS.
  • Has proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
  • Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to high standards.
  • Can plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes to the wider school community.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
