Y3 & Y4 Teachers – Wigan Primary School – Immediate Start

Hays Education are currently recruiting for Year 3 and Y4 teachers to work across the Wigan and surrounding areas on a temporary basis. Working as a temporary teacher is a very important role as you are required to provide continuity for the children within the classroom whilst the class teacher is absent. Depending on the length of time you are covering the role, you could be required to plan lessons and mark work.
Your new role
In this job role, you will be taking on full responsibilities as the class teacher, and you will be expected to build strong relationships with your students, ensuring they are working to their potential. In most cases, you will have a full class which will be around 30 children and typically there will be a teaching assistant on hand to provide additional support. You will want to strive for academic growth for the children in your class and feel confident in tailoring materials to suit the ability and learning style of individual pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is preferred.
