Learning Support Assistant Vacancy Location: Wolverhampton Position: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils who have a range of learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities. You will assist in providing tailored support to ensure each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential, both academically and socially. You will work as part of a close-knit team of staff who are committed to delivering high-quality, individualised care and learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students in a variety of classroom settings.
  • Assist with the delivery of personal care and social development, where required.
  • Support the class teacher in implementing tailored educational plans.
  • Help students with activities that support their communication, social skills, and independence.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and senior staff.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A passion for working with children with additional needs.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and patient approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with pupils and staff.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
