Windows 10 to 11 Migration SME
A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for a Windows Migration SME for a 3-month contract, Inside IR35.
Remote role with occasional travel to Reigate, Surrey.
Our customer is undertaking a large-scale migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and is seeking a Subject-Matter Expert (SME) to provide hands-on technical leadership and support throughout the transition. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth, secure, and efficient migration process across the enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the end-to-end migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
• Provide deep technical expertise in SCCM/MECM for deployment and management.
• Package and deploy applications in the new Windows 11 environment.
• Configure and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure policy compliance.
• Work with on-premises Active Directory for user and device management.
• Ensure systems are aligned with CIS Level 1 benchmarks for security and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and optimise performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience with Windows 10 to Windows 11 migrations in enterprise environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of SCCM / MECM (not Intune/Modern Management).
• Strong experience in application packaging and deployment.
• Proficiency in Group Policy configuration and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of on-prem Active Directory environments.
• Familiarity with CIS Level 1 security benchmarks and implementation.
Desirable:
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
