Your new role
As a Welder (PG3), you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds in line with approved welding procedures and manufacturing instructions, contributing directly to the construction and completion of complex engineering projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out welding activities in accordance with approved welding procedures
- Interpreting manufacturing instructions and technical documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed to required quality standards and tolerances
- Demonstrating strong hand skills and precision in all welding processes
- Maintaining strict adherence to SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) standards and risk awareness
- Working closely with supervisors and other trades to support production targets
- Assisting in problem-solving activities on the shop floor
- Adapting to changes in drawings, technologies, and working practices
- Supporting and coaching apprentices where required.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Practical welding experience supported by relevant on-the-job and/or classroom training
- Strong understanding of welding procedures, manufacturing instructions, and processes
- A clear commitment to safety and SHE compliance
- Knowledge of quality standards and work tolerances within a manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels
- A reliable and proactive approach, building trust with supervisors and peers
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving industry practices
- A positive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and improve
- Ability to share knowledge and support the development of apprentices
