Warehouse Manager to lead an exciting new transformation - £40-43K + benefits

You will join an established specialist manufacturer based on the Wirral, serving a wide range of industries such as personal care, healthcare, veterinary, household, automotive, and technical sectors. Your new role

As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for leading and improving all warehouse operations, including goods receipt and dispatch, third-party logistics coordination, yard management, and inventory accuracy. You will manage a team of circa 14 individuals, driving continuous operational improvements, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of efficiency. Key duties include supporting production through accurate stock control, developing team capabilities, and refining warehouse processes. The company is undergoing an exciting transformation project, including a warehouse relocation and bringing their paper-based systems into a high-tech, digitalised one - so it's a great time to join the business!

The role is working Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-12:30

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrable experience managing warehouse functions in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop effective teams, including addressing employee disengagement and fostering team engagement
  • Strong skills in running and managing warehouse logistics end-to-end
  • Experience in transforming manual, paper-based systems into fully digitalised processes - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of / ability to plan, design, and successfully relocate warehouse operations from smaller to larger facilities - ESSENTIAL
  • Valid forklift licence is required; instructor qualification is an advantage but not essential
  • Experienced user of ERP systems (e.g., SAGE or equivalent) for stock management and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
