Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Partnership: Act as a trusted deputy to the Chief Legal Officer, helping to shape and deliver the global legal strategy while influencing both operational and long-term business direction.

  • Team Management & Development: Lead and mentor a team, overseeing workload, performance, and professional growth.
  • Legal Expertise & Advisory: Provide expert legal counsel across a broad range of areas including corporate governance, joint ventures, M&A, commercial contracts, intellectual property, compliance, litigation, data protection, and employment law. Support group-wide initiatives and ad hoc corporate transactions.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance: Strengthen legal governance standards, oversee risk monitoring across jurisdictions, and ensure legal policies and processes support operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Business Enablement & Transformation: Provide pragmatic legal guidance that supports business growth, transformation, and alignment with evolving global operations, governance, and risk frameworks.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience gained across both private practice and in-house roles, ideally in the travel industry.

  • Proven leadership experience, including managing legal teams and driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Strategic legal advisor with a track record of delivering commercially focused, pragmatic solutions to executive-level stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience in international, fast-paced environments, with a strong understanding of cross-border legal considerations.

  • Technical expertise across a broad range of legal areas, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, compliance, data protection, employment law, and dispute resolution.

  • Adaptable and commercially minded, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to complex legal and business challenges.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and forward-thinking global business. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping strategic outcomes. A competitive remuneration package is offered, with a base salary of approximately £160,000, plus additional compensation and benefits. Full details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
