Job Title: VAT Advisor

Your new company

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected accountancy and advisory firm that works with some of the UK’s most dynamic and high-growth businesses. Known for its collaborative culture and commitment to quality, the firm supports clients across a wide range of sectors, helping them navigate complex tax challenges with confidence and clarity.

Your new role

As a VAT Advisor, you’ll be part of a specialist team delivering both compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base, including FTSE-listed companies, AIM businesses, and privately owned organisations. You’ll manage your own portfolio, contribute to special assignments, and support senior colleagues in delivering high-quality tax advice. The role offers a blend of technical challenge, client interaction, and professional development, with exposure to a wide variety of industries and tax scenarios.
You’ll be involved in billing and cash collection, identifying opportunities to improve recoveries, and building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. You’ll also play a role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the ongoing growth of the VAT practice.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring a solid understanding of UK VAT and the ability to handle complex tax matters with confidence. Ideally, you’ll be CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent), with post-qualified experience in a professional services or HMRC environment. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage projects and client relationships are essential. You’ll also be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

What you'll get in return

You’ll be joining a firm that values your individuality and supports your career ambitions. With a flexible working framework, structured development programmes, and access to mentoring and coaching, you’ll have the tools and support to grow professionally. The firm’s people-first culture means you’ll be recognised for your contributions and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

What you need to do now

If you’re ready to take the next step in your VAT career and want to work in a dynamic, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now or reach out for a confidential conversation about the role and your fit.
