Location: Near East Grinstead
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:45am–5:00pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays)
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Your new school

This role is based in a specialist school near East Grinstead supporting children and young people with Autism. The school provides a structured, nurturing, and highly supportive environment, using Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) with a strong focus on communication, independence, and life skills.
The school is a lovely, well‑resourced setting located in peaceful surroundings and is currently expanding, offering exciting opportunities to grow alongside the school. Staff benefit from a strong team culture, wellbeing focus, and access to excellent facilities, including an on‑site gym.

Due to the rural location, the ability to drive is essential.

Your new role

We are seeking a committed and confident Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 and small‑group basis.

While candidates do not need extensive years of experience, this role does require relevant, practical experience working with Autism and an understanding of ABA.
This is an ideal role for someone who already has exposure to autism and behavioural approaches and is ready to step into a rewarding specialist environment.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)

What you'll get in return

  • School holidays
  • Mental health and wellbeing‑focused culture
  • Free access to the on‑site gym
