Leading financial services firm seeking Transition Project Manager to lead network support insourcing projects

Hays have partnered with a leading financial services institution to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support the insourcing of their global office network support. If you have experience on complex service transitions or infrastructure transformation programmes within financial services, then we want to hear from you.

Length: 6-months + extension
Rate: £600 - £650/day inside via Umbrella
Location: London
Hybrid: Yes (1 day in-office)

Your new role and what you'll need to succeed

As the Transition Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and governing the end-to-end transition of network support services from an external vendor to a newly formed internal team. This role is pivotal to the firm's long-term strategy of greater control, agility and innovation in their network services, and as such your key duties and experience will include:

  • Owning and managing the end-to-end project plan for the transition, from initiation to execution and BAU handover (developing project artifacts, establishing a robust governance framework, and managing the project budget)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale, complex service transition or IT infrastructure projects (with experience transitioning network support services or critical IT infrastructure highly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, service management processes and operating model design as well as a structured, methodical and outcome-focused approach to delivery with a keen eye for detail and risk
  • Experience within financial services will be highly preferred.
