Trainee QS role working within a commercial team for a regional contractor

Your new company

Our client is a well-established regional contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across residential and commercial sectors.

Your new role

As a Trainee QS, you’ll work closely with experienced professionals to learn the ropes of cost management and project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Supporting the management of subcontractor packages and valuations
  • Monitoring project budgets and financial performance
  • Attending site visits and progress meetings
  • Learning to interpret drawings and specifications

What you'll need to succeed

  • A keen interest in construction and commercial management
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Studying towards or interested in pursuing a relevant qualification (e.g., HNC, degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management)
