Trainee Project Administrator

Your new company

Hays are working in conjunction with a growing business based in Telford who are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Support / Projects Trainee to join our Projects Department. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination and customer engagement.

Your new role

In your role your responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project documentation and folders in line with company procedures.

  • Support internal production meetings and track follow-up actions.

  • Communicate with customers regarding project requirements, including technical drawings, samples, and shipping details.

  • Manage inbound production test samples and coordinate sample storage and distribution.

  • Liaise with internal departments including Engineering, Production, and Service.

  • Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to enhance service delivery.

  • Escalate issues and complaints appropriately.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Adhere to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) at all times.

  • Perform additional duties within skill and competence range as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Education to Level 3 (essential)
  • Willingness to pursue Level 4 / HNC or equivalent (essential)
  • Education to Level 4 (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ambitious and growth-oriented mindset
