I am representing a prominent employer in the Greater Belfast area, seeking a Trainee Accountant to join their dynamic and expanding team. Your new role

As a valued member of the team, the individual will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support organisational planning

• Monitoring budget performance and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

• Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting

• Performing weekly bank reconciliations and contributing to cash flow forecasting

• Maintaining effective financial controls and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records

• Preparing statutory accounts and producing clear, informative management reports

• Responding to accounting queries and providing support to system users to facilitate smooth operations

What you'll need to succeed

Applicants should be educated to university degree level in a relevant subject with 6 – 12 months of undergraduate work experience, where course structure supports this.
