Your new role

As a Trainee Accountant in the Trust Tax Accounts team, you’ll gain hands-on experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns, supporting a wide range of clients including high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees.
You’ll work closely with experienced professionals, learning how to manage trust compliance, understand inheritance tax and capital gains tax implications, and ensure clients meet their statutory obligations. Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll study towards a professional qualification (ACA, with full support from a dedicated training team.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in finance or accounting is not essential – we’re looking for potential, enthusiasm, and a commitment to building a career in accountancy. However, to succeed in this role, you’ll need:
• A strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent preferred)
• A genuine interest in tax and trust accounting
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to balance work and study effectively
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
