Tenancy Support Officer (Social Housing) - Temp to Perm!!

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Tenancy Support Officer in the Wirral on a temp to perm basis after 6 months via agency. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), offering a competitive salary, pension, company sick pay, mileage reimbursement plus training & development opportunities.

You will play an important role in providing intensive housing management and tenancy support to vulnerable adults living within supported housing (low/medium needs - mental health, learning disabilities).

Your new role

  • Managing voids, lettings, rent arrears, ASB, safeguarding and any tenancy breaches

  • Carrying out property inspections, move ins/outs and health & safety/fire checks, reporting and coordinating repairs where required

  • Liaising with contractors, care providers, local communities and external stakeholders

  • Ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained, fit for purpose and ready to let

  • Keeping up-to-date and accurate records & reports using the internal housing management systems

  • Supporting to collect documents from tenants for housing benefit applications and ensuring all paperwork is completed at signup or at the earliest opportunity

  • Participating in stakeholder meetings and providing daily/weekly/monthly reports to the management team

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a social housing setting working with vulnerable adults with a good understanding of housing/tenancy management legislation, principles and best practice

  • An understanding of welfare benefits and ability to support with applications

  • Experience of managing ASB, safeguarding or other tenancy breach incidents

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance

  • Enhanced Adults DBS check (ideally on update service but new can be carried out upon shortlisting)
