Tenancy Support Officer - Preston - Temp to Perm!!

We are now recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Tenancy Support Officer role in Preston. This is a temp to perm contract, working 37.5 hours a week across Monday to Friday, with competitive hourly rates.


This role is within a national registered charity providing vulnerable adults the opportunity to live a better quality, independent life.

You will be responsible for delivering high-standard housing and tenancy management services in your dedicated area, managing your own workload of low/medium-level needs tenants (mental health, learning disabilities, alcohol/substance misuse).

You will require a full UK Driving Licence and valid business insurance to be considered. An Enhanced DBS on the update service would be ideal, but a new one can be carried out if needed.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Voids and letting paperwork, ensuring all inspections are completed
  • Supporting with any benefit applications or queries
  • Anti-social behaviour management, dealing with safeguarding matters and ensuring other tenancy breaches are dealt with in line with internal procedures
  • Completing Health & Safety checks, ensuring any required actions are followed up on
  • Facilitating access for contractors
  • Moving in/out inspections
  • Multi-agency work with Stakeholders, such as Care Providers, Admin Teams, Local Authorities, Social Services and Benefit Teams.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports to management teams, ensuring everything is kept up to date on internal systems.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong background in supporting vulnerable adults within a supported/temporary accomodation setting
  • A good level of understanding surrounding housing/tenancy legislation and best practice
  • A good understanding of welfare benefits and the ability to provide support/assistance with applications
  • You will need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business cover
  • Enhanced DBS check
