Tenancy Officer (Social Housing) Temp contract
We're looking to recruit a proactive Tenancy Officer in Liverpool to support our social housing client on a temporary contract until December 2025. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, office-based.
You'll be responsible for handling a range of housing processes, from tenancy changes and mutual exchanges to succession claims and permission requests. You'll be a go-to-person for resolving queries, supporting colleagues, and ensuring customers receive a responsive and respectful service.
Key responsibilities:
Handle tenancy updates including name changes, household amendments and assignments
Manage mutual exchange applications and liaise with relevant teams
Respond sensitively to bereavement-related enquiries and succession claims
Review and process tenant permission requests, and oversee garage lettings across the organisation
Triage and respond to complaints submitted via digital channels
What you'll need to succeed
A confident decision maker with a good knowledge of housing policies and procedures, and experience in a housing or tenancy management role
A strong communicator who can be tactful and diffuse situations, or manage potentially conflicting scenarios
Ability to work under pressure and can adapt quickly to changing priorities
Basic DBS check
