Tenancy Enforcement Officer (Community Safety) Social Housing - Ongoing temp - Hybrid

We're looking to recruit a Tenancy Enforcement Officer on behalf of a well-established housing association in Merseyside, on an ongoing, temporary contract. This is a hybrid role, with mileage reimbursement, working 37 hours per week and hourly rates up to £24 per hour.

We're seeking candidates with strong background in ASB Management/Tenancy Enforcement role within social housing, with a good level of experience in managing cases involving domestic violence, hate crime and safeguarding through to resolution, including gathering evidence, serving notices and attending court to present evidence. You will require a driving licence with access to your own vehicle and valid business insurance.

Your new role

  • Managing and responding to cases of anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches including hate crime and domestic violence

  • Preparing and serving legal documents including notices, implementing early interventions, gathering witness statements and other evidence, and giving evidence at court

  • Supporting witnesses throughout the duration of investigations, preparing them for attending and presenting evidence at court where required

  • Liaising with legal advisors, Neighbourhood Officers and external agencies & stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach

  • Making referrals to external support agencies

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships within the community

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a tenancy enforcement/ASB management role within social housing, with a good understanding of legal processes and housing legislation

  • Experience of gathering evidence, witness statements, preparing and serving notices, and presenting evidence at court

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
