Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to join a successful secondary school in Newcastle. This full-time temporary position will commence on 1 September 2026 and run until 31 October 2026, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make an immediate impact within a supportive and welcoming department dedicated to delivering high-quality mathematics education.

The successful candidate will:
  • Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, achievement, and attendance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
