Temporary School Caretaker Required

School Caretaker – Temporary Cover

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to provide full-time temporary cover at a school in Hartlepool, for one week, with the potential to extend.

Location: Hartlepool
Dates: Sunday 18th May – Thursday 22nd May
Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Opening and securing the school site
  • General site maintenance and health & safety checks
  • Ensuring the premises are clean, safe, and ready for daily use
  • Responding to basic maintenance issues as required
Essential Requirements:
  • ✅ Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
  • Previous experience in a school caretaker or site manager role
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a school environment
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker available at short notice to support a school during a busy period.
