Project Manager – Fleet Management (Remote, UK)
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of strategic fleet-related projects across the organisation. This role will oversee initiatives such as company car lease scheme redesign, fleet management software implementation, and telematics optimisation.
The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to offices in Suffolk, Northumberland, and Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple concurrent fleet related projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Manage the revision of the company car lease scheme, including stakeholder engagement, policy updates, and supplier coordination.
Oversee implementation and optimisation of fleet management software, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
Drive telematics projects to improve vehicle utilisation, safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Develop project plans, risk logs, and reporting dashboards to maintain visibility and control across all initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, and Operations.
Manage external suppliers and service partners to ensure contractual obligations and service levels are met.
Facilitate workshops, briefings, and steering groups to support decision-making and project alignment.
Ensure compliance with fleet, safety, and data governance standards throughout all project phases.
Champion continuous improvement across fleet processes, systems, and policies.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects, ideally within fleet, automotive, logistics, or related environments.
Strong understanding of fleet operations including leasing, procurement, compliance, and vehicle lifecycle management (beneficial but not essential).
Experience delivering software or digital transformation projects, ideally involving fleet systems or telematics.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to project delivery.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication and collaboration.
Experience managing suppliers and third party vendors.
Relevant project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) are advantageous.
What We Offer
Opportunity to shape the future of fleet operations across a growing organisation.
Autonomy and ownership over high impact strategic projects.
Collaborative culture with supportive cross-functional teams.
Flexible working environment with strong work-life balance.
