You will work within a structured, regulated environment where logistics plays a key role in ensuring safe, compliant and efficient product distribution.

Your new role
As a Logistics Specialist, you will provide hands-on support to the logistics function during a period of reduced team capacity. This is a non-managerial, operational role suited to an experienced logistics professional who can work independently and manage day-to-day shipment activity.

  • Preparing and processing shipping and export documentation
  • Managing the compliant dispatch of hazardous or dangerous goods
  • Ensuring adherence to customs regulations and internal procedures
  • Monitoring shipments and resolving routine logistics issues
  • Liaising with internal teams and external carriers to align operational requirements
  • Maintaining accurate shipment records and updating internal systems
  • This is an on-site role based in Merseyside, working Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring proven experience across logistics, export or freight coordination within a regulated environment.

Key requirements:
  • Experience in logistics, shipping, export or customs coordination
  • Exposure to hazardous or dangerous goods handling
  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation and dispatch processes
  • Working knowledge of customs and export compliance
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Clear communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel

Desirable experience:
  • SAP or similar ERP system knowledge
  • Awareness of ADR, IMDG or IATA regulations
  • Background in chemicals, manufacturing or regulated industries
  • Understanding of Incoterms and export documentation

What you'll get in return
6-month temporary contract with immediate impact
Competitive hourly rate between £23-£26
Opportunity to work within a globally recognised manufacturing environment
Exposure to complex logistics operations within a regulated sector
Structured working hours, Monday to Friday
