This role requires hands-on experience in demand forecasting and capacity modelling within technology environments. You must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience in demand and capacity management across cloud and/or infrastructure platforms
• Strong capability in forecasting, scenario modelling, and consumption analysis
• Understanding of cloud consumption metrics and scaling models (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience working with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align capacity with demand
• Experience in multi-vendor / MSP environments

This role is not suitable for reporting-only analysts, project planners, or purely financial roles without technology exposure.

The Role

This role is responsible for ensuring technology operations has the capacity, performance headroom, and scalability required to support global demand. You will lead demand forecasting, capacity modelling, and consumption analysis, providing actionable insights to drive investment decisions, optimise cost, and ensure service stability.

What You’ll Own

Demand Forecasting: Forecast demand across infrastructure, cloud, and platforms using historical data, business inputs, and growth trends.

Capacity Modelling: Develop and maintain capacity models to ensure scalability, performance, and resilience across services.

Consumption & Performance Insights: Analyse usage patterns and identify risks, bottlenecks, and optimisation opportunities.

Capacity Risk Management: Identify saturation risks and ensure mitigation plans are defined and executed.

Financial & Investment Alignment: Align capacity planning with financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimisation initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement Work: closely with engineering, operations, finance, PMO, and vendors to ensure capacity readiness.

Vendor & MSP Alignment: Validate vendor capacity commitments and ensure delivery models can scale with demand.

Governance & Reporting: Own capacity governance processes including monthly and quarterly reviews, reporting, and executive insights.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in capacity management / demand forecasting within technology environments
• Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure scaling models
• Strong analytical capability and experience with forecasting and modelling tools
• Experience working across engineering, finance, and vendor ecosystems
• Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
• Experience in complex, enterprise-scale environments
