Job Title: Technology Assurance Assistant Manager
Your new firm
You’ll be joining a nationally recognised professional services firm with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and people-first values. With a growing Technology Risk practice and clients spanning Financial Services and large corporates across the UK, the firm is investing in the next phase of its Technology Assurance offering. The culture is supportive and collegiate, with a clear focus on developing talent, encouraging new ideas and delivering work that genuinely adds value to clients.
Based in Glasgow, the firm promotes a sustainable, balanced approach to work, while remaining ambitious about growth and innovation.
Your new role
As a Technology Assurance Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the Technology Risk team. Working as part of a wider UK Technology Risk community, you’ll be involved in delivering IT Internal Audit services, supporting IT External Audit engagements, and contributing to a range of technology advisory assignments.
Alongside delivery, you’ll have real responsibility for supervising and developing junior team members, helping them grow both technically and professionally. You’ll work closely with managers and senior leaders, supporting business development activity, contributing to proposals and tenders, and helping shape strategy, operations and ways of working within the team.
This is a varied role that blends technical delivery, client interaction, people management and advisory work, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in a growing, high-profile team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience delivering technology-based assurance and advisory services, either from practice or industry, and be comfortable working alongside both Internal and External Audit teams. You’ll hold a relevant IT Audit or information security qualification such as CISA, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent), with well-developed core and technical skills.
You’ll have exposure to clients in sectors such as Financial Services and corporates, with experience of SAP IT and application controls viewed positively. Beyond technical capability, you’ll be confident engaging with clients, responding to queries with minimal supervision, and developing a strong understanding of business risks and objectives.
Equally important is your approach to leadership. You’ll be someone who takes ownership, plans workflow effectively, challenges existing approaches, and looks for smarter, more efficient ways of delivering work, all while maintaining high-quality output and regulatory compliance.
What you'll get in return
In return, you’ll join a close-knit team of like‑minded Technology Assurance professionals who are genuinely passionate about what they do. You’ll have the opportunity to shape a growing service line, influence how the team operates, and play a meaningful role in developing and retaining talent.
The firm offers a permanent, full-time role, national exposure to a diverse client base, and the chance to broaden your experience across assurance and advisory work. Most importantly, this is an environment where you’re encouraged to be more than just a manager, where your ideas are welcomed, your development is supported, and your contribution is recognised.
If you’re looking for a role where you can grow your career while helping others do the same, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
