IT Support Engineer – SC Cleared - Shefford
Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Migration Support Engineer!
Job Overview: Support a large-scale laptop refresh project in a government environment. You’ll work on-site assisting with device handovers, system updates, and stock tracking, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting.
- Location: On-site – Shefford SG17 5PR
- Daily Rate: £19.38 PAYE or £25.15 via umbrella (in-scope IR35)
- Contract Length: 5 Jan 2026 – 13 Feb 2026
- Start Date: 5 Jan 2026
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and maintain the Refresh Clinic
• Move devices between storage and clinic
• Log into systems using provided devices under supervision
• Collect old devices and distribute new ones per schedule
• Update workflow systems accurately
• Report and escalate issues to onsite engineers
• Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings
• Package and label returned devices for disposal or refurbishment
• Secure all equipment in storage at the end of each day

• Active or eligible Government SC Clearance
• Experience in hardware refresh or migration projects
• Ability to follow structured processes and schedules
• Comfortable using workflow management systems
• Strong communication and issue reporting skills
• Reliable and detail-oriented with stock handling and tracking
