Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to lead onsite deployment, configuration, and support activities for clinic device refresh projects. This role involves coordinating technical deployment events, managing device handovers, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing frontline support to end users. The engineer will work alongside two other engineers but will be responsible for leading the team and ensuring smooth execution of all deployment tasks.

Location: PLC Building 150 Whittle House, Gypsy Patch Lane, Bristol
Daily Rate: £19.38/hr – PAYE, 25.15/hr – UMB
Contract Length: 09th December 2025 till 19th December 2025
Active SC Clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onsite engineering support for clinic deployments
- Coordinate and run deployment events, ensuring all technical activities are completed efficiently.
- Validate and process user work orders and deployment requests
- Manage laptop and device handover across multiple users and sites
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the Asset Management Database (AMDB)
- Provide deployment completion updates to the Deployment Manager (DLM) and project management team
- Perform device pre-checks, validations, and report Dead on Arrival (DOA) or faulty devices for replacement
- Address and resolve user queries and technical issues onsite
- Support data management and ensure compliance with data handling protocols
- Liaise with clinic staff to minimise disruption and ensure smooth deployment
- Attend daily deployment calls and report pre-deployment challenges or exceptions
Key Requirements
- Experience in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools
- Strong knowledge of device imaging, configuration, and refresh processes
- Familiarity with asset management systems and inventory tracking
- Hands-on experience with laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for user interaction and reporting
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance
