Technician 3 – Contract Role Supporting London’s Transport Infrastructure
Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 3.
Job Overview:
Deliver outstanding customer support at the Tech Bar by resolving technical issues, guiding users, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience. You'll be the face of the client, combining strong communication skills with technical expertise to provide fast, friendly, and effective service.
- Location: London
- Contract: ASAP until Aug’26
- Pay Rates:
- Umbrella Rate: £25.15/hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
- PAYE Basic Rate: £19.38/hour
- Work schedule : Monday – Friday.
- Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Tech Bar Engineer
You’ll be delivering a customer experience on the Tech Bar that sets us aside from our competitors. You may be the first person that a user meets when they have an issue,You’re also the person who guides and advises them throughout their issue. Your success is measured by the user experience and resolution of their issue.

Relational Skills
- Ability to deliver a great customer experience in a very active environment and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction. Sometimes this will be the all-important first impression.
- Strong communication skills that let you converse freely and comfortably with small groups as with individual customers.

- You’re willing to learn and embrace a client service delivery approach.
- You have strong people skills —you’re approachable, a good listener and empathetic.
- Clear communication and able to convey technical solutions to all levels of user.
- Adaptable to different scenarios (working alone/working in a team)
- Strong interest in technology, and agility at learning new technologies.
- Able to work in and around London.
- Has knowledge of printers.
Technical Characteristics:
- Able to understand user requirements and guide them towards a fix
- Is familiar with today’s technologies used in the workplace (Windows 7/10,Office 2016, VPN’s, BYOD, Jabber, OneNote)
- Is willing to learn support for bespoke hardware/software used on customer sites.
- Is familiar with working for SLA’s
- Is familiar with logging requests/incidents as they come in(ServiceNow)
Additional Requirements:
- Complete the customer-specific clearance process.
- Customer sites may have a specific dress code (branded polo shirts), to be supplied by the client.
