Technician 3 (Contract) – Derby | Leading Aerospace & Engineering Project

Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 3.

Job Overview:
Provide onsite technical support for clinic IT deployments, coordinating events, managing devices, and resolving user issues. Ensure smooth operations through accurate documentation, inventory tracking, and clear communication with teams.

  • Location: Derby
  • Contract: 17th Nov’25-02nd Jan’26
  • Pay Rates:
  • Umbrella Rate: £25.15/hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
  • PAYE Basic Rate: £19.38/hour
  • Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Monday – Friday.
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

(lead deployment, configuration, support)

1 Senior customer engineer is required on site, perform device refresh tasks, provide deployment completion updates to the Deployment Manager, update the AMDB (Asset Management Database), configuration and support equipment.

- What is the technical environment, & minimum (technical) skills/experience needed?

  • Provide onsite engineering support for clinic deployments.
  • Run and coordinate clinic deployment events, ensuring all technical activities are completed efficiently.
  • Validate and process user work orders and deployment requests.
  • Manage laptop and device handover to multiple users and sites.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation throughout the deployment process • Communicate deployment status and progress to the DLM team and project management.
  • Address and resolve user queries and technical issues onsite.
  • Perform device pre-checks, validations, and report Dead on Arrival (DOA) or faulty devices for replacement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attend daily deployment calls and report any pre-deployment challenges or exceptions.
  • Support data management and ensure compliance with data handling protocols.
  • Liaise with clinic staff to minimise disruption and ensure smooth deployment
- Will the resource be working alone or in a team?
Working with 5 other engineers, but will be required to lead the team
